Old St Beghians’ Golfing Society 2019

 

The QE Coronation Schools Tournament – Edinburgh – 2019

A team of six Old St Beghians attended the QE at Edinburgh in late September. The team consisted of John Berry, John Currie, Adrian Peckitt, Cameron Wood, Tom Wright and Andy Crummey.

The team were treated to excellent accommodation in Gullane. Unfortunately we couldn’t match last year’s quarter final performance and were beaten in the early rounds, possibly due to Adrian Peckitt’s playing with new rented clubs…. That’s all I’ll say on that. However, heads were quickly lifted by Andy Crummey’s hospitality during an evening’s entertainment in North Berwick on the Saturday night, followed by a round on Gullane 1 on the Sunday for all the players, who were joined by Nigel Costeloe. A great experience, all the players were very grateful for a round on a top quality venue and course.
